Color changing feature and regenerative capacity
As Poly-Tech Super Filter adsorbs waste, it darkens significantly giving a visual detail of its action. The degree of discoloration depends on the application environment and the prevailing pollutants being captured by the filter. Highly polluted tanks will show a greater degree of discoloration. A powerful feature of the Poly-Tech Super Filters is that they can be easily regenerated using a simple table-salt solution! Each regeneration significantly restores filter capacity. Many of the compounds such as phosphates and very reactive organics get permanently locked within the filter so restoring the original color may not be possible.
